Isidoro "Izzy" Cosentino
Isidoro “Izzy” Cosentino was born in 1985 and grew up on the Monterey Peninsula. Having been drawn to visual story-telling at a young age, Isidoro began making his own videos with friends in middle school. A hacker at heart, Izzy's talents have always been at the intersection of technology and visual media. At the age of 18 Isidoro was offered to volunteer on an independent feature film after high school. He was suddenly introduced to a new world and realized there were career opportunities on many levels in the film industry. He quickly changed his college major and eventually transferred to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco to study Motion Pictures and Television. AAU emphasizes hands-on learning by choosing a concentration. Isidoro chose cinematography and in no time found himself working on set. Halfway through the program at AAU, Isidoro started to seek opportunities outside of school, and was able to work on professional projects as a camera assistant, electrician, and production assistant. Before graduating he was hired as gaffer for an episode of a major television show on the History Channel called Decoded. After graduating from the BA program at AAU, Isidoro not only worked as a freelance crew member on various film projects, TV shows, and commercials, but also ran a small video business in Monterey until relocating to Silicon Valley to pursue his other passion in technology. Currently, he works full time as a video production lead and studio manager for Advanced Systems Group, LLC at the Google Developers Studio in Mountain View, CA. The projects he works on are a perfect outlet for Isidoro's fascination with technology and expertise in film-making.
